Penfield Strikers Soccer Club Information

Who are Penfield Strikers?

The mission of the Penfield Strikers Soccer Club is to identify and develop female soccer players aged 7-19 years old, who demonstrate the enthusiasm, commitment and potential to play soccer at an advanced level. We emphasize developing players in a way that promotes fundamental soccer skill development, character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. We field as many as 2-3 teams at each age level, from RDYSL (www.rdysl.com) Division I to IV. Over 150+ girls play in our Club making us one of the largest girls’ soccer clubs in the league. The Penfield Strikers Soccer club is a non-profit organization.

Why consider Penfield Strikers?

Penfield Strikers is the ideal soccer option for girls who love the game and would like to play at an advanced level at an affordable cost. For $525 annually (not including tryout registration), Strikers players benefit from:

  • Regular practices weekly from November through July, facilitated by a dedicated coaching team and supported by our coaching committee

  • A full RDYSL league schedule: 12 games from mid-May thru 1st week of August

    • There are 6 home games and 6 away games

    • The 6 away games are within Monroe and surrounding counties

  • Team monies that may be used to support 2-3 tournaments (typically 3-4 games per Fri-Sun tournament)

  • Skills training with Craig Demmin weekly from November to April.

    • Craig is a former Rochester Raging Rhinos team captain and four-time team MVP. He has accrued over 35 caps for the Trinidad & Tobago National Team.

  • Opportunities for incremental skills training (all age groups)

  • Opportunities to engage in community service and social activities

  • Opportunities for U13+ girls to be volunteer coaches and referees in our fall All Girls All Soccer (AGAS) program

  • Annual scholarship program benefitting two deserving players each year

We believe no other club in the area offers this level of services for this cost. The Club is committed to making certain that any girl who wants to play competitive soccer can do so regardless of their financial circumstances.

Strikers Travel Soccer - Tryouts for girls are held in July. Tryout dates are posted in the Spring and on-line registration begins in June. Click here for more information on our Travel Soccer Program.

AGAS (All Girls All Soccer) - Each fall we sponsor a recreational soccer program for girls entering 1st - 6th grade.  This program focuses on skills, practices, and game playing on Saturdays in September and October.  There are no try-outs for this program, all girls in grades 1-6 are welcome. Registration will open in the Summer. Click here for more information and to access our registration form for AGAS.

Little Bolts - Similar to our Little Bolts winter program, our fall recreational program will focus on fun and games.  This age group (pre-K) will learn more about soccer and will introduce players to dribbling, passing, shooting and coordination and body movement activities in a fun-filled environment.
